Label makers Suoa Stik Labels and Hally Group from Australia and New Zealand respectively, took to the stage during this year’s HP Digital Print Awards, which were held in conjunction with the Dscoop Asia 2010 in Seoul, Korea.
Supa Stik Labels was announced the winner of the Alcoholic Beverages category, and the only Australian company to take home an award, while Hally Group was the recognised winner in the Food Industry category.
Taiwan-based Sunlea Label Printing was a major winner on the night taking out the flexible packaging and security labels categories, while Indonesian-based Kisah Publishing won for packaging printing while Honsen Printing Industrial from Singapore was awarded in the Self-promotion Label category.
The Awards are an accredited platform that provides printing and packaging industry professionals and opportunity to showcase their creative work of art through HP Indigo digital printing solutions.
This year's Awards attracted more than 350 entries for the 18 categories from across 14 countries.
John Solomon, Senior Vice President, HP Imaging and Printing Group, Asia Pacific and Japan said the Awards have seen a significant increase in the quality of the submissions received this year compared to the previous years.
He says, “The stunning digital print works that we have received are a clear reflection of the great strides print service providers have made in the advancements of digital printing technology.”
Judging was conducted by a panel of internationally renowned judges from the graphic arts, packaging and media industries.
