Currie brings in Mako small format CTP

The Currie stand had the latest CTP systems from US manufacturer ECRM, the Mako 2 and Mako 4. ECRM is a smaller manufacturer, and has specialised in two to four up CTP systems. Company president Richard Black said the systems were designed to be easy to install, easy to operate and easy to service, as well as being able to produce high quality plates. He reckons a 90 minute session will have the Mako fully installed, and two minutes is the training time. The Mako has been designed as a small machine, which the company sees as advantageous over other systems that are bigger machines coming down in size. With more than 70,000 imagesetters installed throughout the world ECRM has clearly got the market confidence as it competes against the bigger players.
