Doggett gets into vinyl with Tacky

KW Doggett is expanding its offerings into a new line of vinyl products for digital print, called Tacky.

Jon Roberts, business development manager, digital, with Doggett, says, “The new range addresses the demand for high quality print, short runs and variable data options. This was previously only possible printing UV offset or screen printing.”

New Tacky range, Doggett says: "Not that there's anything wrong with super charged cars, 80s perms or crocheted toilet roll holders! But they are pretty tacky."

Used for indoor and outdoor advertising, wall decals, point of sale, car stickers and so on, Doggett says Tacky is weather and tear resistant. The range includes white permanent, clear removable, white removable, white wall graphics, white electrostatic and clear electrostatic.

Certified for printing on HP Indigo machines, Tacky is said to be eco-friendly and made with water-based adhesives that provide pressure sensitive control and quality while minimising the environmental impact.

Doggett has collaborated with designer Andy Ashton from WorkArtLife on a tongue-in-cheek promotion for the release, playing on the concept of Tacky.

Printed on the white permanent – a lady with an eighties perm. Rocking the clear removable – a supercharged car. A blast from the past on the white wall graphics product – your granny’s toilet roll holder. And for the white electrostatic, a dog dressed as a pig, and on the clear electrostatic – a glasses and moustache disguise.

Doggett will use Instagram to invite reps and customers to post photos using the electrostatic disguise.
