Print finishing machinery supplier Plockmatic says it is offering a new inline booklet making system for printers looking to deliver booklets of various sizes at high quality, fast.
Distributed in Australia by Fuji Xerox, Plockmatic’s latest Pro50 and Pro35 Inline Bookletmakers produce booklets on digital paper stocks of up to 50 sheets (200 pages) or 35 sheets (140 pages) respectively.
The Pro50 and Pro35 are designed for copy centre and commercial print environments, with the ability to process a wide range of coated and uncoated media types – Plockmatic says, “month after month, year after year.”
The systems attach to the Fuji Xerox 800/1000 digital presses and Nuvera production systems.
They can also be combined with an optional Plockmatic PCT unit, which rotates sheets for maximum productivity, creases covers on the fly for professional folds and to eliminate image cracking, and trims each page to allow for full bleed applications inline.
The addition of a large touchscreen allows for fine adjustments of staple and fold position during the run.
The SquareFold and fore edge trimmer have also received upgrades to produce high quality thick booklets – Plockmatic says the SquareFold allows for a perfect bound look for a lower cost; with a square printable spine, flat booklets and secure stapled set.
It has also added Smart Knife technology to the fore edge trimmer, to accommodate up to 25mm trim and improved handling.
Plockmatic says the new systems demonstrate its “commitment to help print providers of all sizes bring more value to their clients.” The developer currently has 93 resellers in 53 countries.
