Digital print enhancement provider Scodix has featured its new line of presses at the Dscoop9 annual conference in the US, with the first live demonstrations of Scodix Ultra.
The Scodix Ultra – a digital enhancement press – can produce 1,250 B2+ size (21.5 x 31 inches) sheets per hour.
The Ultra is based on the company’s Sense technology, which aims to enhance positioning and registration, a high level of gloss units and allows for variable polymer thickness in a single pass.
Scodix says, “The union of these technologies enable the Scodix Ultra to deliver results that meet and exceed the critical production requirements of even the most demanding commercial PSP’s or folding-cartons converters.”
Applications include stationery, book covers, premium packaging, marketing and promotional tools, greeting cards and photo albums.
With the release of the new press Scodix says it is now a multi-product company – it also sells the Scodix S worldwide.
The Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative) conference, held in the US in March, is organised by an independent global community of graphic arts business owners and professionals who use HP Indigo, Scitex, high-end Latex and Inkjet equipment and related solutions.
