Kiwis can call PrintEx home

New Zealand visitors can expect a warm welcome at PrintEx 15, which takes place at the Sydney Showgrounds in the city’s Olympic Park from May 13-15 next year.

Phil Rennell, PrintEx 15 chairman, says, “There’s no question there are significant challenges still facing print and graphic communications businesses in New Zealand as there are across the entire region. The best way to address those challenges is by arming yourself with the best information, education and advice and that’s what PrintEx 15 aims to deliver in Sydney in May next year.”

With 10 months to go, several major names have already confirmed their attendance including Konica Minolta, Neopost Australia, Bőttcher, Optimus, Tharstern, BJ Ball and DSM Kalker. Rennell says, “They all see PrintEx as an important opportunity to engage with the market and demonstrate how they can partner with businesses to maximise success. Together with the many other leading suppliers who are finalising contracts as we speak, I’m confident we’ll see a diverse and exciting showcase of the very latest technology, equipment and innovations which will help businesses meet the challenges of the current market and capitalise on new opportunities.

“In particular, we expect to see enormous strengths in digital and on-demand technologies, workflow innovation,  sustainability and wide format as well as more traditional technologies and a few exciting new options which will reflect the changing face of our industry. Plus, by co-locating with Visual Impact sign and display show, visitors will be able to enjoy an even wider range of ideas and information.

“Alongside the exhibition, visitors will also be able to enjoy forum and workshop sessions on a range of topics and, of course, benefit from the networking opportunities which are so valuable at shows of this nature.

A regular visitor to Aotearoa, usually through his role as sales and marketing manager for Currie Group, Rennell has a decent understanding of the New Zealand market and he believes Kiwis should feel at home in Sydney. He says, “PrintEx is very much New Zealand’s ‘local’ exhibition, with travel times from New Zealand to Sydney making it closer for you than for many Australians. We are looking forward to welcoming a strong Kiwi contingent at the show so make sure to set aside the dates in your diary now.”
