Indonesia gears up for Label Summit

Registration has opened for Label Summit Indonesia 2014, which takes place from June 18-19 at Balai Kartini; the second edition of the event.

Jade Grace, event director, says “The Asia Pacific region is experiencing huge growth in label consumption at seven per cent and will account for 73 per cent of global retail packaging volume growth through to 2016. With South-East Asia going through such a major time of change in a short time frame, we hope that this year’s Summit will show just how quickly the industry is evolving and maturing here.”

Aimed at label and package printers/converters, brand owners, label designers and industry suppliers, Label Summit Indonesia will host 30 plus international suppliers ready to discuss technology solutions that could have a major impact on Southeast Asian printing businesses. Confirmed exhibitors include: Alpha-Cure, Avery Dennison, Edale, Esko, Flint Group, Mark Andy, Martin Automatic, Nilpeter, Prati, RotoMetrics, UPM Raflatac and Xeikon.

Filip Weyman, director, segment marketing and business development of Xeikon, says, “As a leading supplier of digital printing equipment, we at Xeikon attach considerable importance to the Southeast Asian and specifically the Indonesian market, therefore we are delighted to be the gold sponsor of the forthcoming Label Summit Indonesia. With such a high population and rapid development of the Indonesian market, we are keen to showcase the many capabilities and opportunities that our digital solutions offer.”

An early bird rate applies to registrations made before May 30. Grace adds, “By sharing the latest technologies that will transform our businesses to exploring the latest in brand protection and substrates, the conference program should bring insight and inspire our delegates to continue shaping the industry’s future path here. We look forward to bringing the leaders in the label and package printing industry together in Jakarta and introducing them to their fellow Southeast Asian and international peers.”
