Steve Bracks MP, Premier of Victoria will attend PacPrint’05 on opening day. The Premier will conduct a walk-through of the show before adjourning for a private VIP function where he will officially inaugurate the event. Premier Bracks holds specific interest in PacPrint having been a past executive director of the Victorian Printing Industry Training Board.

Ron Patterson, chairman of the PacPrint Board, says, “We are delighted with the level of interest shown to PacPrint 05 by the Victorian Government and welcome Premier Bracks involvement. We are confident the Premier’s visit will highlight the considerable contribution PacPrint makes to the Victorian economy and also shine the spotlight on the industry.

“It is not often we have a collective opportunity to demonstrate to the Government at the most senior level the strength of our industry, Australia’s third biggest manufacturing sector and fifth largest employer. PacPrint 05 puts our best foot forward and it is a tremendous feather in the industry’s cap to gain the support and attention of the Premier.”

PacPrint opens its doors in just three weeks time, Tuesday May 24, with the exhibition running for five days.
