The Agfa brand remains in pole position in the rapidly growing Chinese graphic arts industry according to the latest Top Ten Printing Brands Election 2006.

The election is organised each year by HC360.com, one of China's leading multi-media business information service providers and printing websites.

Agfa once more got extensive support from the industry and won a Top Ten Foreign Brands Award. Since its first election in 2004, Agfa has won leading positions each year.

This year, Agfa was voted most powerful non-domestic brand for prepress solutions.

Although HC360.com did not announce the ranking of the winners, Agfa stays well ahead of other prepress suppliers, according to voting results.

To ensure a fair election, a jury consisting of industry experts evaluated all winners after the public voting to double check results against criteria such as company reputation, market share, innovation, social responsibility, service, customer satisfaction and revenue in China.

Agfa develops, manufactures and markets analogue and digital systems for the printing industry through Agfa Graphics. Its headquarters are in Mortsel, Belgium.

The company is present in 40 countries and has agents in another 100 countries throughout the world.

Parent, the Agfa-Gevaert Group achieved a turnover of €3401m in 2006.

Agfa Graphics offers integrated prepress solutions to the printing industry. These solutions comprise consumables, hardware, software and services for production workflow, project and colour management.

Computer-to-film, computer-to-plate and digital proofing systems have earned Agfa Graphics a worldwide leadership position in the commercial and package printing and the newspaper publishing markets.

Agfa Graphics is rapidly expanding its offerings in the growing digital inkjet market. Its experience in both imaging and emulsion technology has provided the expertise required for making an assortment of high-quality UV and solvent-based inks.

Joint development and manufacturing partnerships with industry leaders expand its technological reach and allow the company to develop comprehensive digital solutions for printing posters, banners, signage, displays, labels and packaging materials.
