Scitex Digital Printing adopted the theme of ëSoaring to New Heightsí for its first distributorsí meeting in January, at Singaporeís Sentosa Island. The meeting on January 22 - 24, 2003 attracted 24 distributors representing seven countries from the Asia Pacific and Japan region. The theme for the event was chosen in part because this is the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers becoming the first people to fly an aeroplane. The Wright Brothers were from Dayton and also invented the aeroplane there. Scitex Digital Printing is headquartered in Dayton.

The meeting proved to be a good avenue to keep distributors updated on Scitex Digital Printingís corporate strategies and development. There was an active exchange of ideas on sales and marketing issues between Scitex Digital Printing and business partners. Ultimately, it was a good chance to strengthen the working relationship and team spirit between distributors, business partners and Scitex Digital Printing through face-to-face discussion.

A distributorsí award was also given out to reward and recognise the achievement of our distributors in the region. Beijing Basch Co. Ltd was awarded distributor of the year 2002 for its outstanding performance in China.

The mere fact that all participants wish to renew this event on a yearly basis is the best proof of its utility and success.
