Star Publications (M) Berhad, publisher of Malaysia’s biggest-selling daily newspaper, The Star, continues to diversify into electronic media with the acquisition of a 70 per cent stake in content applications service provider Rimakmur Sdn Bhd for RM7m (US$1.85m). “The proposed acquisition (of Rimakmur) will allow Star to participate further in the market for radio advertising,” says a statement made to Bursa Malaysia.

The Rimakmur deal follows on from the acquisition by Star Publications of Star Rfm Sdn Bhd in 2003.
