The push for greater recognition in the Australian market continued at PrintEx03 for Esko-Graphics, which held a significant presence at the show. Much interest was generated by the stand, which included a working CDI SparkXT Flexo CTP unit alongside a PlateDriver 8 FreeBeam violet CTP system. A number of Esko-Graphics’ wokflow and design software solutions were also on display for visitors to test-run, while the big screen on the stand gave a running example of the Kongsberg XL Samplemaking Table.

Esko-Graphics Asia Pacific vice president and managing director Jean-Pierre De Moor was accompanied by director of business development for the QPS division Eirik Dahlberg, gave visitors a background presentation on Esko-Graphics, as well as the rcent developments within the organisation.

This included the recently announced divestment of its newspaper and very large format (VLF) CTP systems, along with the Printstreamer front-end digital solution, the Carto cartography tool and the Perfection Publisher re-purposing software. According to De Moor, this is all part of the company streamlining itself and re-focusing on its core markets of offset and flexo CTP. He also believes that the show provided the company with the opportunity to sound-out potential agents, which Esko-Graphics is always looking for.
