AVT gets highly commended at Global Awards

Agfa Gevaert  appointments  Label Expo 
Highly Commended label sticks to AVT Advanced Vision Technology Ltd (AVT), represented in Australia and New Zealand by Agfa, achieved a highly commended award in the category ‘Label Industry Award for New Innovation’ in the Label Industry Global Awards 2004, held at Labelexpo Americas last week.

The Judging Panel commented, "In a relatively short period of time AVT have developed some of the most sophisticated video web inspection technology and systems, achieving installations worldwide that automatically guarantee converters error-free web inspection and the highest standards of quality assurance."

The New Innovation award is presented to a supplier who has less than ten years’ involvement with the label industry and is seen to be an innovative and pioneering company. Other criteria for the award stipulate that the company:
• has been instrumental in successfully introducing key new science, product or technology solutions to the label industry;
• operates with business integrity;
• is a good employer committed to education, training and staff development;
• is committed to the future development of the label industry;
• is environmentally aware/friendly; and
• participates in industry association events.

Speaking before the awards, Gal Shamri, vice president marketing for AVT said: "We are honoured and delighted to be nominated for this award. The labels industry is an area where quality and security standards are of increasing importance, and recognition of AVT’s contribution to quality assurance and process control in this sector is gratifying.
‘In a relatively short time, AVT has introduced a number of solutions, specifically developed for label printers, åand these have received worldwide recognition and acceptance.’
