The Sydney Rowing Club at Abbotsford will once again host the LIA – Heidelberg Graduate of the Year Award Presentation Dinner on Tuesday the May 30. The prestigious Awards Presentation Dinner is regarded as one of the highlight events on the annual NSW graphic arts industry calendar.

“Each year we continue to be impressed with the quality of the graduate apprentices, put forward by the Sydney Institute’s - Graphic Arts Centre, for the final selection of Graduate of the Year,” says NSW president, Grant Churchill.

“Invariably the LIA judging panel has an extremely difficult task in the selecting the ultimate winner,” adds Churchill.

This year’s winner will receive the coveted Heidelberg Trophy and will compete with Heidelberg Award winners from around Australia in 2007 for the $16,000 GAMAA-
LIA National Graduate Scholarship Prize.

The LIA’s executive officer Bob Lamont says the Institute was heartened by the increased interest in this event from the other industry organisations and welcomed their continuing involvement in an event, which highlighted the potential future leaders of the industry.

The evening will commence with pre dinner drinks at 6.30pm and an excellent three-course meal, including wines, served at 7.30pm. Guest speaker for the evening will be Andy Vels Jensen, managing director, Heidelberg ANZ, one of the industry’s most incisive and entertaining speakers.

Bookings can be made by phoning Robyn Baker on or for further details contact Bob Lamont on or via email at
