Victorian premier Steve Bracks (right) officially opened PacPrint 05, albeit at the end of the day rather than the beginning. Premier Bracks was taken on a tour of the show, stopping off at Agfa, Heidelberg, IPP, Konica Minolta, Fuji Xerox and Currie & Co, where managing director David Currie presented him with a Currie PacPrint shirt. The Premier then made a speech to assembled VIPs where he highlighted the importance of print to the Victorian and Australian economies, before emphasising the benefits of Melbourne as a place for business and living.
