Canon claims drupa success

Canon  appointments  drupa
Canon has successfully concluded its most substantial investment ever in drupa. Canon’s commitment to drupa was demonstrated at a local level by Canon Australia and Canon New Zealand jointly taking 15 clients and seven employees to the event. A contingent of scientists and engineers from CISRA - Canon’s research and development centre in Sydney also attended drupa. Steven Brown, Canon Australia national product manager for production and graphic arts, says, "We recognise the significance of drupa to our customers.

"In turn, the entire printing and graphic arts industries are witness to exciting developments at Canon, and turned to drupa for deeper insights into where we are today, where we are heading, and what it means for their businesses. We will continue this tradition with our participation in The Knowledge Forum."

The stand at drupa was designed to reflect Canon’s recent business evolution, being divided into three main zones: "Commercial Imaging and Graphic Arts", "Intelligent Publishing" and "Intelligent Production Printing". It sought to simulate real professional print scenarios and applications in order to demonstrate how Canon can provide complete solutions - including hardware, software and professional services - to improve processes and workflow for the customer.

"Canon has taken its time to clearly define its strategic approach to market, with a specific focus on customer processes and how they can be improved through a consultative and collaborative relationship with Canon," says Brown.

"We believe in putting the customer first, listening to their requirements and then tailoring solutions to suit business needs. We have become a single point of contact for customers, so they now have access to an extensive range of hardware and best-of-breed software, both from Canon and our industry leading partners, as well as from technical specialists who understand the marketplace, key issues and business challenges."
