PrintNZ has appointed Ashley Chisholm as General Manager, effective this month (February). After two years of rapid growth at PrintNZ, the newly created general manager position, second in command to Chief Executive Joan Grace, will see Ashley responsible for implementing the business plans of PAITC, Printing Industries NZ and NZPPA who make up the group of organisations under the PrintNZ banner.

Ashley has spent the last eight years as National Manager of the Fire and Rescue Services Industry Training Organisation, and comes to the printing industry with extensive training administration and business management experience.

Previous positions at New Zealand Qualifications Authority, SkillNZ and the Labour Department saw Ashley involved in developing workplace assessments and ITO accreditation policies and chairing the National Printing Apprenticeship Committee.

Ashley is looking forward to taking up his new role and working to increase training opportunities in the industry.
