Specialist prepress supplier, CyraChrome, is expanding its presence in Queensland with the appointment of a new technical sales specialist, Louise Sykes. Based in Brisbane, Sykes will be looking after sales and technical support for the entire range of CyraChrome prepress products with a particular focus on the ColorTuner proofing and colour management system.

Sykes says, “I am a former customer of CyraChrome and a long time user of ColorTuner so I know what it is like from the client’s perspective. I am able to talk to users on their level and address their needs.”

She will be working with CyraChrome’s other Queensland representative, Philip Burrell, to expand CyraChrome’s activity in the digital proofing, workflow, colour management and wide format inkjet printing sectors.

Prior to joining CyraChrome, Sykes spent nine years with prepress heavyweights, Show-Ads (now known as PMP Digital), with stints in Brisbane, Bangkok and Sydney. After spending the past five years in Sydney, she is pleased to be returning to her home town of Brisbane and looking forward to building CyraChrome’s presence in Queensland.

“There are already a good number of CyraChrome customers and ColorTuner sites in Brisbane and I’ll be busy introducing myself to the local market and showing them what CyraChrome can do”, says Sykes.

CyraChrome managing director, Michael Laird, said the new appointment highlighted CyraChrome’s policy of having technically experienced customer support staff on the ground wherever they are needed.

“We are very pleased to welcome Louise Sykes to the CyraChrome team in Queensland,” he said. “She has invaluable experience of colour management and possesses a thorough knowledge of what is required to be successful in today’s prepress environment.”
