M&M Binders has appointed Alex Donaldson as its new general manager, ahead of sweeping changes to the well-known Melbourne firm which will reinforce its position as one of the country’s leading binding and finishing services. Donaldson, a bookbinder by trade, has close to 45 years experience covering every aspect of print and print finishing.

After completing his indentures in the UK, he supervised the finishing department at Hunter & Foulis before heading up production at well-known diary manufacturer, Charles Letts of London.

He joined M&M Binders as production manager two years ago, after time as general manager of McPhersons Printing Group Pty Ltd (Books) and, prior to that, Griffin Press Pty Ltd, now PMP.

Donaldson also spent four years as managing director of the PAC-RIM Kwartanusa - PMP in Indonesia.

He now joins company director, Mario Todisco in heading up the new look M&M, which moves to new premises in Port Melbourne in July.

As well as his expertise in all aspects of management, Donaldson brings an unique client perspective to his new role, complementing M&M Binders’ recent move and its programme of investment in new technology, both of which are designed to deliver significant workflow and turnaround benefits to its customer base.
