The third issue of the drupa report is now available as next year’s trade show grows ever closer. The 36-page magazine, 30,000 of which have been published, is targeted at both exhibitors and visitors and gives an insight into the print media fair and the latest technological trends. The central theme of this issue, which has been published in both English and German, is print finishing and converting. In addition to theory, the magazine also features plenty of practical applications of newly available technologies, many of which have been incorporated into the magazine’s design. For example, instead of the previous spine gluing, the magazine is now Swiss Brochure-bound. A 3D pop-up map of the Düsseldorf Trade Fair Centre also features, as does a variety of paper formats and types, which is made possible by single sheet processing.

The latest drupa report also has a culinary theme with a special report on white asparagus, in season at drupa in the month of May. The feature examines how this vegetable is grown, and the head chef of the Steigenberger Parkhotel in Düsseldorf gives some insight into what’s cooking in his kitchen.

The drupa report can be ordered from www.drupa.de or www.drupa.com in the ‘News – drupa report’ section. The next issue will be available in January 2004.
