The Graphic Arts Services Association of Australia has now put the history of the association, the first 70 years, on its website, www.gasaa.asn.au/gasaastory.htm . The history is written by Max Farley and traces the people, the companies and the events that have been the driving force behind GASAA. From the original formation of the Federal Body in 1923 as the Master Process Engravers Association of Australia, GASAA has changed its name on six occasions to keep pace with the ever-changing nature of the industry.

The history is available on the website for viewing or can be freely downloaded as a PDF document. The publication has numerous historical photos and covers topics including:
early days, the first federation , the new federation, the issues, GASAA’s names, GASAA conventions, GASAA companies and GASAA people.
