Red Paper Group has acquired New Zealand mill agency business, Kirby Paper. Kirby Paper will join forces with Red Paper Group’s three other paper distribution businesses; Raleigh and Edwards Dunlop in Australia and BJ Ball in New Zealand.

Kirby Paper will continue to operate as a separate business unit and will become the Group’s vehicle to service the web market. Michael Kirby, the principal of Kirby Paper, will continue to manage the business and will report to the Group’s NZ CEO, Andrew Bull.

Kirby Paper represents a number of well-established paper suppliers to this market. Red Paper says Michael Kirby’s expertise in the paper industry developed over 25 years will also be a great asset to the Group.

Red Paper describes the purchase as a positive, broadening its product offer, and expanding the markets it operates in.
