Kiwi to head Australasian paper group

Tony Dragicevich has been appointed CEO and Managing Director of the Melbourne-based Australasian paper group, Edwards Dunlop Group which is represented in New Zealand by its paper merchant subsidiary BJ Ball Papers Ltd. He takes up the position on August 1. A New Zealander, Dragicevich was general manager of BJ Ball Papers for five years from 1992 to 1997 when it was a subsidiary of Carter Holt Harvey (CHH).

For the last seven years he has been General Manager of Tasman Insulation Australia which, as a business unit of the Tasman Group, was formed through a management buy out of assets from Carter Holt Harvey in 1998 and acquired by Fletcher Building in late 2003.

BJ Ball Papers is one of New Zealand’s leading paper merchants with offices in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin.
