Labelexpo China sold out

The first biennial Labelexpo China 03, being held 9-11 December at the Intex Exhibition Centre in Shanghai, has now completely sold out. Akzo Nobel Inks, Avery Dennison, Gallus, HP Indigo, Kopack, Labelmen, Mark Andy, OJI Specialty Paper, Nilpeter, Raflatac, Rotoflex, Ritrama, and Surface Specialties will be amongst nearly 80 exhibitors at the inaugural event. In addition, up to 5000 international and local visitors are anticipated.

The programme and speakers for the Labelexpo China Conference, ‘Towards a Profitable Future’, have now been. The Conference will provide an opportunity to share ideas and best practice about Chinese and international labelling standards and requirements, assess global branding issues, review advances in label materials, pre-press and production technology and machinery, as well as discuss the latest requirements for logistics and distribution labeling. Leading Chinese and international industry speakers will present sessions on new markets and opportunities; use and performance of label materials and printing processes, technology solutions; and converting.

The conference will be presented in Chinese.
Speakers will include:
- Mr. Shen, President, China Printing Group Corporation, subject: China today; its industry, commerce and trade.
- Professor Tan Jin-Qiao, a representative from the Chinese Government, subject: The pressure-sensitive label market in China.
- Ronnie Liew, Area Sales Manager Asean, Taiwan, Indian Subcon, ExxonMobil China, subject: Growth and trends in wrap-around and film labelling in China.
- Mark Lin, General Manager, Esko-Graphics, subject: Label design and format using electronic pre-press technology.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, says, "The growing importance of China in the world labels market is reflected by the fact that the show is entirely sold out well over a month in advance. Many people are also taking the opportunity to visit the show in order to make plans for joining us in Shanghai in 2005. Labelexpo China is a real opportunity for those involved in, or wanting to be involved in, the industry in China."
