Fuji Xerox Australia has appointed Maria Nordstrom general manager of its Production Services Business Group, effective immediately. This position will see Nordstrom lead the Fuji Xerox division that provides production digital printing and software solutions to its graphic arts and bureau customers throughout Australia. Nordstrom earned a solid reputation through her accomplishments in previous sales management roles within the company. First joining the printing systems group at Fuji Xerox in 1996, she achieved success by establishing a process by which she developed strategic and long lasting customer relationships and business associations within a number of organisations.

In 2002, Nordstrom was appointed to state operations manager in Western Australia where she took the operation from a satisfactory performance to outstanding. She achieved this through a vision of growth and development in the graphic communications industry and put in place several education and market initiatives, which were successfully adopted by some of WA’s leading print providers.

“I was very privileged to work with many customers with foresight that embraced print innovation,” says Nordstrom. “Our workshops and quarterly training seminars in WA proved extremely successful and valuable and these will continue under the new state manager, Steve Jordan’s leadership.”

Speaking about her new role leading the group that has previously flourished under Nick Kugenthiran, Nordstrom says, “I relish the opportunity to help steer Fuji Xerox’s production services business group in a fast-moving and evolving era by taking advantage of new developments and opportunities. I look forward to building on the group’s existing success by remaining focused on the profitability and growth of our customers."

Phil Chambers, managing director of Fuji Xerox Australia, says, "In a climate where digital technology continues to spark endless opportunities for print producers to tap into new markets and revenue streams, Maria has a strong understanding of our business and the industry insight that our customers can use to their advantage."

A former Victorian state basketballer, Nordstrom remains involved in the game, as an avid spectator in her spare time.
