Manufacturer of labels and thermal and specialty papers, Nashua Corporation, yesterday announced it has acquired 35 per cent of the shares of Tec Print LLC which is engaged in the printing business and, with Nashua’s investment, has entered the label converting business. Financial terms of the transaction are not being announced. Tom Brooker, president and chief executive officer of Nashua Corporation, says, "Through our investment in Tec Print, Nashua is establishing a working partnership with a company that has a well-earned reputation for customer service. The agreement also provides our customers and prospects with the ability to purchase Nashua print supplies from a minority-owned enterprise. In addition, we believe the partnership will provide the long-term ability for Tec Print to profitably grow its label and printing business."

J W Gibson, president of Tec Print LLC, says, "We are excited about our partnership, which gives Tec Print access to Nashua’s technology and expertise in the label manufacturing business through an alliance that we are confident will generate growth for both companies."

Nashua Corporation manufactures and markets a wide variety of specialty imaging products and services to industrial and commercial customers to meet various print application needs. The company’s products include thermal coated papers, pressure-sensitive labels, bond, point of sale, ATM and wide format papers, entertainment tickets, and ribbons for use in imaging devices.

Tec Print LLC is a certified minority owned printer of lottery tickets and labels. The company also has the capability of printing paper rolls, tickets, brochures, business cards, posters and signs.
