In a joint decision by Ron Patterson, PacPrint ‘05 Board chairman, and Alf Carrigan, National Print Awards chairman, the 22nd National Print Awards will be held during PacPrint ‘05 in Melbourne. Patterson says, "The board of PacPrint ‘05, in conjunction with the board of the National Print Awards, is pleased to confirm that the 2005 Awards ceremony and dinner will be held during PacPrint ‘05."

"This is the first time the Awards have been held during PacPrint and we are collectively very excited about the inclusion of this important event for the industry in the PacPrint calendar."

In addition to the Awards ceremony and dinner, visitors to PacPrint will be able to view entries from all finalists in an unprecedented display to be mounted within the exhibition, further promoting the impressive capabilities of the Australian industry.

Carrigan confirmed that initial response from the industry to host the Awards during PacPrint was very positive, with early indicators pointing to an increase in attendance.

"Working closely with the PacPrint Board will clearly add value to both our event and to the exhibition. Given that the 22nd Awards are to be hosted in Melbourne, and PacPrint is the biggest event of its kind for our industry, it makes perfect sense to bring these two respected industry events together," says Carrigan.

The National Print Awards will be held on Wednesday May 25, 2005 at the Crown Casino, while PacPrint ‘05 will be held at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre May 24 to 28 2005.
