Konica Minolta has appointed Hiro Kaji as managing director of its Australian operations, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia Pty Ltd (KMBS).

In his new psoition, Kaji will be responsible for growing the business by satisfying customers, dealers and employees and ultimately managing a profitable Multi-functional Peripheral sales company.

According to Kaji, it is the strong platform of this experience which makes him especially suited to tackle new challenges in Australia, including company growth and increasing sales.

"My experience in Canada enabled me to understand the key drivers for success in a sales environment," explains Kaji. "I have benefited from an increasing knowledge of the MFP market and an in depth understanding of how to provide customers with simple solutions for everyday problems.

"Seeing the direct results and outcomes of our activity will be very exciting and I am thrilled by the opportunity to grow the company in a wonderful country like Australia."

Kaji has strong business expansion credentials which will allow him to challenge the current systems and structures at Konica Minolta Business Solutions in Australia and elevate its success.

Konica Minolta Business Technologies has a goal for net sales of ¥620 billion (US$7.087bn) in fiscal 2006.
