Océ has further increased the media handling flexibility and capacity of its TCS400 colour printing, copying and scanning system. With the addition of a third media roll and a copy receiving rack, printing efficiency is increased and the need for operator intervention is further reduced. Océ says its TCS400 offers a total solution for the increasingly important market for wide-format colour technical documents. Both the new media handling options strengthen this solution for productive printing, copying and scanning and reduce the time users have to spend on getting their jobs done.

The third media roll provides immediate, online access to up to three different media grades or widths, minimising the number of times that users have to manually change media types or widths to match the requirements of specific jobs or customers. Alternatively the three media rolls can simply be used to increase the total online media capacity to 360 metres, allowing extensive print jobs to be completed without interruption for media replenishment.

The copy receiving rack offers a professional solution for the stacking of the output from the TCS400. Prints and copies are neatly stacked in the rack ready for removal. This avoids prints falling on the floor with the risk of becoming damaged, soiled or even lost, or of sets becoming disordered which can lead to mistakes in distribution.

"Océ wants its customers to be able to focus on their core activities", says Adwin Kannekens, international product manager for the Océ TCS400. "For engineers and key operators alike, this means minimising the need for attendance and intervention, during printing: for example to change printer media or to sort out sets of wide format colour copies that have fallen onto the floor. This is part of a total productivity concept that enables users to complete their print jobs quickly and efficiently, with minimum need for human attention".

The Océ TCS400 printing, copying and scanning system addresses the growing demand for colour in the technical document market, combining a print engine, scan unit and integrated Océ Power Logic controller to offer the highest possible ease of use and productivity. As a result, the system maximises the number of prints, copies and scans that can be produced per hour while minimising the required user effort and attention.

Quick, easy operation is a key feature of the TCS400, for example with its unique ‘green button’ functionality using fully colourised Océ Image Logic technology. This enables any original to be copied or scanned at optimum quality, without the need for complex settings or special operator skills.
