ORIS Color Tuner wins further recognition

proofing  workflow  appointments
Following its recent FOGRA certification, ORIS Color Tuner has again been recognised as a reliable contract proofing system, this time by the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA). The PPA certified that ORIS, running on the Canon W2200 with CGS ink and media, is in full compliance with its proof4press initiative, establishing an independently verified proofing standard for advertising and editorial pages. ORIS is the first independent contract proofing system to achieve certification.

The testing was performed by Colourbyte Europe, which sells and supports ORIS products in the UK, under strict PPA supervision. Extensive measurements and visual evaluation of the ORIS output by the PPA committee confirmed the proof’s fidelity to the target, which conforms to the ISO 12647 printing standard for magazines produced on coated paper.

The proof4press accreditation program is part of PPA’s pass4press initiative for improving magazine workflow practices.
