As regional managing director, Oviedo will be responsible for optimising all GCG product and solutions offerings and for ensuring strong regional results and profitability, as well as leading integration activities across the region in cooperation with the leadership teams of Kodak GCG’s operating units.

Additionally, he will be responsible for day-to-day operations within the regions, including sales of prepress and digital products, along with customer service, product support, supply chain management and tactical product marketing.

Managing director GAR since completion by Kodak of the acquisition of Creo up until the appointment of Oviedo, Helman joined Creo in June 1994 and was appointed managing director of Creo Asia Pacific in 2002.

Prior to that, he served as general manager, Australia and New Zealand, where he established Creo’s presence in the market and grew the division to be the largest prepress supplier in the region.

"I’m returning to Toronto to spend more time with my family," Helman says, adding that he spent 10 years in the region and that he will miss the many friends and contacts he has made here.

"Kodak has enormous potential in the Asia Pacific," he says.
