Ron Patterson, PacPrint 05 chairman of the board, has announced that response to the launch of the 2005 show from the major suppliers had been tremendous with key industry players such as Intergrafica Print & Pack (IPP) and Canon committing to significantly larger stands than in 2001. Patterson says, "The board is extremely pleased with the response from industry to the next PacPrint which promises to once again deliver a spectacular event. Space bookings and applications from almost 80 organisations represent over 70 per cent of the target size. With over 15 months left before the exhibition opens in Melbourne this is a tremendous result. Visitors to PacPrint can expect to see the cream of the industry displaying the latest technology, solutions and equipment available."

Mark Deere-Jones, Canon Australia senior general manager for the Business Imaging Solutions Group (BISG), says, "PacPrint is a strategically important platform for Canon BISG in terms of reaching our target market. We have doubled our investment for PacPrint 2005 in line with our overall growth and ongoing commitment to the Production and Graphics Arts sector."

Meredith Darke, IPP group marketing manager, says the company’s decision to expand its presence in 2005 was reflective of the growth it has experienced. "In the past couple of years various acquisitions including GSA, have seen our product range expand. This has made a significant difference to the range of customers we talk to and the solutions we offer. As a result taking additional space is a natural extension reflecting the growth of our offering."

Brent Stephen, Day International general manager, says the decision to maintain Day’s stand size for 2005 is reflective of the standing of PacPrint as a major event in the Asia Pacific region.

"PacPrint 05 provides us with the opportunity to display our latest image transfer products and launch new technology. Because PacPrint is the premier event for the printing and graphics industry in Australia and New Zealand it presents an opportunity to promote our services to a wide range of customers."

"It (PacPrint) facilitates a platform on which to communicate with new customers and network with existing clients enabling us to further promote our company theme ‘Your global partner in print’."
