PacPrint targeted in listing scam

appointments  PacPrint
Reed Exhibitions, organisers of the PacPrint 05 graphic arts event, scheduled to be held at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre from May 24 to 28 next year, is warning exhibitors about a scam involving an entity known as "Fair Guide". The warning comes as exhibitors began contacting Reed Exhibitions regarding Fair Guide and its offer of a listing within, under the guise of it being involved with Reed Exhibitions, which it is not.

Reed Exhibitions believes that exhibitors are being misled into completing the necessary order form and payment details for their MFJ 2003 listing in this Fair Guide.

The company has also announced that it is taking legal action against Fair Guide, as it is misleading and a misrepresentation of Reed xhibitions. Organisers suggest that exhibitors that have already signed on with the Fair Guide and wish to cancel should fax the Fair Guide to that effect.
