Print room systems and solutions provider A.E. Hudson has appointed former PacPrint chairman Ron Patterson as its southern region manager. Well known in the printing community having held senior executive positions in the supply businesses for over 20 years, Patterson will be based at the Nunawading branch in Victoria.

A.E. Hudson managing director Grant Churchill says Patterson’s brief in his new role at Hudson’s is to restore the company’s reputation for giving dependable and reliable service, which he felt had slipped over the past couple of years.

“This will necessitate some re-organisation of the Victorian branch to achieve that goal,” says Churchill.

“Ron brings to Hudson’s a wealth of experience and skills to strengthen the senior management of the company and improve our customer relationships. Having held senior positions with C.P.I. Graphics Group, Agfa and F.T. Wimbles, Ron’s experience will add considerably to management and provide new opportunities for growth.”

Hudson’s has a big 12 months ahead of them as it is, celebrating 50 years of business.

“That’s good news for a wholly Australian owned family business in the printing industry where most of our competitors are large foreign multinational,” says Churchill.

Patterson has come to know A.E. Hudson well through their common commitment to supply high quality products and service to the Printing and Graphic Arts Industry.
