Plockmatic, the well known supplier of collation and booklet making systems, has appointed MailPack to be its agents for the company’s range of friction and vacuum feed colation equipment in Australia. Plockmatic’s marketing director, Peter Lindberg, announced the appointment after his recent visit to Sydney. Michael Seale, sales director at MailPack, says, “the Plockmatic range of equipment adds depth to our existing products from CMC and other suppliers. We can now provide finishing solutions to printers that encompass collation, booklet making, enveloping and wrapping in both plastic and paper.”

“MailPack is constantly looking for products that enable our customers to add value to the service they provide. Plockmatic’s booklet makers and vacuum collators are ideally suited to the growing digital print and POD markets. In particular any finishing operation that is producing a booklet from different print sources, such as black and white and colour printers, will see immediate production benefits from the programmable functions of the FeederPro”, he said. The FeederPro 1000 Vacuum Feed Finishing System will be a prominent feature on the MailPack stand at PacPrint.

According to Seale Plockmatic’s SquareFold system adds a new dimension to the finish of stitched booklets. It provides the same perfect flat finish as a perfect bound (glue bound) book but at fraction of the price. Seale says that both the SquareFold and Vacuum Feed systems will be shown at PacPrint for the first time in Australia.
