The Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, chairman of the board of Quebecor World Inc. has announced the appointment of Wes Lucas, president and CEO of the Quebecor World Inc., as a director of the Corporation. "Wes Lucas’s customer focussed approach and successful execution of value-added sales and marketing strategies have produced a strong track record of consistent growth. On behalf of my fellow directors, I welcome Wes Lucas to our Board. He will be a tremendous asset to the Board and to the entire Corporation as we strive to enhance shareholder value," says Mulroney.

As announced in Quebecor World’s April 6, 2006, press release, Lucas assumed his role as Quebecor World president and CEO on May 11, 2006. Before joining Quebecor World, Lucas was chairman, president and CEO of Sun Chemical, the world’s largest producer of inks and pigments.

Before joining Sun Chemical in August 2001, he was a vice president in Allied Signal Corporation’s Engineered Materials Sector (now Honeywell), president of Styrenics at Nova Chemicals Corporation, and held several positions at Chevron Corporation.

Lucas has deep strategy and marketing experience as a consultant, as well as entrepreneurial experience with a software company. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of California at Berkeley.

Quebecor World Inc. is one of the largest commercial printers in the world. It is a market leader in most of its major product categories which include magazines, inserts and circulars, books, catalogues, direct mail, directories, digital pre-media, logistics, mail list technologies and other value added services.

Quebecor World has about 30,000 employees working in more than 130 printing and related facilities in the US, Canada, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Finland, France, India, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.
