SALMA\'s night to shine

The self adhesive label manufacturer’s association (SALMA), took advantage of the wide variety of people in town for Pride in Print week during May, putting on an evening of networking and information in Christchurch. It was a chance for Avery Dennison to explain to the industry the impact and ongoing effects of their high profile acquisition of JAC in May last year. The acquisition had raised many questions, being between two of the largest companies in the world of labels, and the company’s presentation seemed to answer many of them.

The turnout was strong, with a wide variety of people from various associations and suppliers turning out to meet, mingle and enhance their knowledge of the industry. It also provided a good warm-up for Pride in Print the following night. And it was considerably more restrained!
