Signwave franchisees were joined recently by the staff and board of Signwave Australia as well as key suppliers at its national conference in Sydney. Gary Salomon, founder and CEO of the 450 Fastsigns/Signwave franchises, visited Australia and delivered the opening address at the conference. Signwave Australia is the Australian master franchisor for the international Fastsigns system, which has 450 franchises in the USA, UK, Canada, Brazil and Mexico. Signwave sign and graphics centres offer a full range of custom sign and graphic products, including banners, window-vehicle-floor graphics, safety and identification signage, trade show displays and exterior signage.

Katherine Groom, Signwave Australia general manager, says, "I was especially pleased that Gary chose to attend this important event. He also made time to visit several of our Signwave centres during his stay.

"We are proud to be part of such a strong and successful system. Not only do our franchisees have local support from an Australian franchiser with 20 years experience in the business to business sector, but they also have access to the substantial resources available through the Fastsigns network. This support is especially strong in areas such as e-commerce and technology research that are essential for us to maintain our competitive edge and deliver on our brand promise to make sign and graphic solutions simple."

Jeff Youngblood, Fastsigns director of e-commerce, presented several sessions at the conference. He focused on the many e-commerce tools that Signwave franchisees have available and on ways that Signwave franchisees can make their customers’ lives easier by simplifying the process of sign buying and communication in an increasingly tech-savvy world.

Other conference sessions included marketing workshops, an open forum question time with the Signwave Australia executive team, presentations by vendors and a keynote address by Australian record breaking, solo round-the-world yachtsman, Tony Mowbray.

The conference also provided an opportunity to celebrate success at an Awards Dinner.
