Following the recent appointment of DES as master distributor for X-Rite in local markets, DES has expanded its team and commitment to colour management with the appointment of Bruce Sinnott as national manager, X-Rite Products. Sinnott is looking forward to the challenge of a 20 per cent growth target this year. Familiar with the printing industry, Sinnott has a background spanning from his trade apprenticeship in the 1970s to hi more recent roles as a general manager at IPMG and managing director at Sinnott Brothers.

"It is exciting to be driving this new venture in such a strong, innovative organization," says Sinnott. "Developing the training and education to raise the X-Rite brand in the industry will be a challenge, but DES has the technical skills and resources in the colour sector that we need to achieve our targets."

Working alongside Sinnott, David Crowther has been appointed technical manager for X-Rite products. With Crowther’s vast experience in colour management, DES is confidently going to serve the digital imaging, prepress, pressroom, photographic and creative markets, as well as venturing into the colour and appearance for industrial, automotive and medical markets.

"X -Rite recognised our technical skills and resources: we are determined to reinforce that by employing key figures with the right experience for the job," explains Ian Clare, managing director, DES said. "Undoubtedly, Bruce Sinnott has the expertise that this role demands."
