It has been a successful year for Terrabyte. The North Shore-based company won a gold medal in the SGIAA (Screenprinting & Graphic Imaging Association of Australia) for the quality of its screenprinting - the only New Zealand company to win this catagory since the creation of the Award. Terrabyte Screenprint, owned by Nicky Lowe and Mark Thodey, was the only company in 2003 selected for an award in the textile screenprinting category of the New Zealand Pride In Print Awards. This achievement has placed the company in an elite group of New Zealand print companies, say the Pride in Print Awards organisers.
Later in the year, the company also achieved recognition in the North Shore Business Awards, reaching the final of the best emerging business category.

The acknowledgement on all fronts is particularly noteworthy because Terrabyte is a relatively new company. It opened early last year printing multicolour images onto apparel and promotional items.

Terrabyte has developed and introduced a specialised four-colour process which creates a high quality level of photo reproduction on fabrics. Directors Nicky Lowe and Mark Thodey, who have both been in the printing industry for about 20 years, say the New Zealand Pride in Print win is an exciting achievement for the company and further boosts its credibility.

"It’s great to be recognised for excellence by others in the same field. The award is a great recognition of our determination to produce quality multicolour fabric screenprinting," says Ms Lowe. The company, which is situated on Constellation Drive, also offers a complete in-house service, including design/concept, artwork/production and digital printing
