Tim Webb, managing director of Russell-Webb Ltd, has been appointed executive director of Picon, the trade association for manufacturers and suppliers to the UK printing, papermaking and paper converting industries.

Webb succeeds John Brazier whose retirement from the position was announced last week.

He has been involved in Picon for over 25 years, including being an active member of Picon Council since 1991, as well as acting as Chairman during the period 2000–2003.

Commenting on his appointment, Webb says, "Having been a passionate supporter of Picon for so many years, I am delighted to be taking on the role of executive director of Picon.

"As managing director of an SME, I fully appreciate the issues facing the majority of our membership, whilst my close association with our larger member organisations enable me to steer our future direction to ensure a wide ranging and fully balanced portfolio of member services.
