Fuji Xerox  appointments
Fuji Xerox Australia has announced the appointment of Eliot Harper to the role of production software solutions manager. Harper, the stepson of graphic arts guru Andrew Tribute, will be responsible for the marketing of key production software products, including VIPP, Darwin Desktop, PrintShop Mail, Solimar, Paris and DigiPath, primarily focusing on the graphic arts market.

Harper says he is delighted to be joining the Fuji Xerox Australia team and looks forward to a bright and successful future with the company.

"Fuji Xerox Australia is a market leader in document management, and holds a strong portfolio of software solutions," says Harper.

"I see software as the sole enabler in bridging the gap between paper and digital workflows and I am very excited about the opportunity to increase the awareness of Fuji Xerox software solutions throughout Australia."

Harper brings over six years of hardware and software graphic arts industry experience to Fuji Xerox Australia, with his most recent role being technical pre-release manager at Adobe Systems in Seattle, USA.

Harper also possesses an impressive list of worldwide qualifications, achieving a Bachelors degree in Printing Management from the London College of Printing (LCP) and a Masters degree in Printing Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), New York.

In addition, he has spoken at numerous conferences and seminars around the USA and has had a number of articles and papers published in various industry publications. These include ‘Rips for Inkjet Printers: The State of a Large Market’ in the Seybold Report in 2001 and a Digital Printing Council Whitepaper entitled ‘Digital Printing Issues 2000: Economics, Markets, Technology & The Digital Future’.

Harper is looking forward to working with Fuji Xerox Australia customers, understanding their needs and helping them realise how software solutions can enhance their workflows.

"Through my time at Adobe, I gained a strong understanding of the software development process and product lifecycle. I believe that this experience teamed with my printing education will be beneficial for both Fuji Xerox and their customers," he continued.

According to Philip Chambers, Fuji Xerox Australia managing director, Harper is a very welcome new addition to Fuji Xerox Australia.

"We are very pleased to have Eliot onboard and have no doubt that his extensive graphic arts experience and software knowledge will enable him to shine in his new role as production software solutions manager."
