Currie Group  appointments  human resources 
Haymen Zalm who ran the Queensland business of Currie & Company for the past 13 years, died last week. He began his career with Currie in April 1992 as Queensland State Manager, prior to which he had been a service engineer with Wimbles in Victoria. It was during his later years with Wimbles that he began an association began with David Currie

He ran a very successful operation for the Currie Group and developed many personal friendships within the industry but none stronger than that with David Currie, to whom he was both a friend and a sailing companion. He developed a great talent and passion for sailing over the years.

Says David Currie, “Haymen will be very sadly missed by all his friends within the Currie organisation as well as those in the industry.”

He is survived by wife Lee and children Dan, Jim, Jake, Olivia and Laura.
