PrintNZ’s new training officer, Doug Lorimer is focusing his efforts on training initiatives in the direct mail production arena in the upper North Island. He’s the fifth training officer appointed at PrintNZ and has previously worked in a variety of printing industry fields including sheetfed, packaging and flexo printing.

While he is also responsible for training initiatives across all printing areas such as sheetfed, reelfed, graphics and pre-press, his particular focus will be in the direct mail field.

Doug says technology is such a driving force in today’s printing industry across all avenues of printing that it is an exciting time to be working in a field where new development is constantly unfolding.

“I love working with people who are genuinely passionate about what they do. This is the best thing about working in the printing industry. There never seems to be a dull moment day to day which adds to the dynamics of the business.”

Doug is working alongside David Eagles and Roger Boud as a Training Liaison Officer for the Northern Region which runs from Taupo north.
