Pacific Print Group (PPG) is again on the acquisition trail having announced the purchase last week of Hastings digital printing firm, Rush Print. PPG says Rush Print was attractive because of its established customer base and recent investments in digital printing technology. Rush Print owner, Mark Harvey, will stay on in a senior management position and assist with customer transition.

"With a shrinking print market due to computers and technology the only way for further growth is through acquisition. In combining these two companies the technology we now have will position us well in servicing Hawke’s Bay businesses," Harvey says.

The printing operations of Rush Print will relocate from Hastings to Napier where sistser PPG operation, Brebner Print, has site at Onekawa.

PPG has now acquired more than a dozen businesses in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand as well as in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.
