PrintNZ and the CMITO have confirmed Ruth Cobb and John Cudby as general managers of their respective organisations

PrintNZ and the Communications and Media ITO have cemented their new management teams in place, saying they will continue to work hard to deliver member and training services to the print industry.

Following Tim Pankhurst’s departure on March 27, Ruth Cobb has stepped into the role of PrintNZ general manager. John Cudby has assumed the role of CMITO general manager.

Both organisations have experienced teams in place, working to achieve key targets. For PrintNZ, targets include maintaining a 95 per cent membership retention rate and attracting new members in the copy centre and sign sectors. For CMITO, key targets include increasing training numbers; ensuring trainees are progressing through their training; and implementing some minor changes following the government’s review of industry training last year.

John Boyle, president PrintNZ, says, “The Board of PrintNZ is pleased to announce that Ruth Cobb has accepted the position of general manager of PrintNZ. Ruth will lead the organisation as we look to actively expand our membership base and continue to deliver exceptional services to our existing members. As always, Ruth and her team are only a phone call away and will continue to assist our members’ businesses to be the best they can be.”

Nigel Harrison, chairman of the CMITO board, says the board has expressed its pleasure with John Cudby’s move into the role of general manager. He says, “The board is confident that John has the necessary skills and breadth of knowledge from his extensive background in the ITO world to lead CMITO well. John has a real passion for workplace training and will be keen to make sure our industry culture and great history of training is maintained and built on.

“John’s role will be to work closely with the industry stake holders to drive the critical key performance indicators now being demanded by the Government’s funding body [TEC].This is important to secure our future.”
