Sleeving solutions supplier, Sleever International received several awards in 2005, as packaging experts around the world recognise the company’s lead in sleeving technology and its innovation in new materials and new design possibilities. The most recent award was in the French Packaging Awards in the material category for its TPE-G film, praised by the jury for the way it makes it possible to recycle PET bottles. The material is already being used by Coca-Cola for its Aquarius sports drink.

Sleever International president Eric Fresnel says they are pleased their sleeving solutions have been recognised.

“The awards received by Sleever International underline what more and more companies in the food and drink sector are realising,” says Fresnel. “Sleever packaging gives them the right solution for their product, fulfilling their technical needs and catching the consumer’s eye.”

In October Sleever International received the highest award (Super Prestige) from the French Photogravure association Pro Hélio for the quality of the printing on its sleeve for the bottle used for the exotic fruit drink Oasis Top Doo, a well as a Prestige award for its special edition sleeve for the Wyborowa Vodka bottle.

In September Icelandic water received two Bottled Water Design Awards at the Global Bottled Water Congress in Dubai, for best overall concept and best label, while Blu, the sparkling water from the Oasis Water Company received the best PET Bottle design award.

In July and August Sleever International received a StarPack Award in the UK for the Hellmans range it produces for Unilever and an award from the Brazilian Packaging Association ABRE for its sleeve for Turmalin coffee.

In May Sleever received a Soft Drink Innovation Award in the Netherlands for a series of special edition bottles produced for Coca-Cola. Sleever’s exceptionally high quality materials enabled young designers to create exciting new work for the Belgian and Dutch markets.

In April Sleever International got two FEDES awards from FEDES, the European Flexible Packaging Federation, for Kronenbourg Punch and for the Perrier bottle.

In March Sleever International received two packaging prices from Embanews in Brazil for Nestlé yogurt and for Donna’s Beer.

“It’s a fantastic success story,” says Fresnel. “And it won’t stop here. We’ve got the expertise and the technology to go on creating world beating packaging solutions for all our clients. With Sleever International you’re getting a packaging solution from winners who mean to go on winning.”
