Head of business area Tetra Pak carton ambient, Dennis Jönsson, has been appointed president and CEO of Tetra Pak, effective January 1, 2006. Jönsson, 49, joined the company in 1982 as a marketing trainee in Sweden, and has since held several managerial positions in the group, including managing director of Tetra Pak in Panama, Mexico and USA. He joined the Tetra Pak Global Leadership Team in 2001.

Jönsson has a degree in Business and Administration from Stockholm University, Sweden, and currently resides in Switzerland.

He takes over from Nick Schreiber, who retires at the end of 2005 after 18 years with the company and five years as president and CEO.
