New CEO at packaging giant, Huhtamaki: Jukka Moisio, former president and CEO at Ahlstrom Oyj

Jukka Moisio has been appointed CEO of Huhtamäki with effect from August 29, 2008. Moisio, born 1961, joins Huhtamaki from Ahlstrom Oyj where he has worked since 1991, most recently as president and CEO. Moisio worked as executive vice president and deputy to the president and CEO of Ahlstrom Corporation from 2003 to 2004, and as the CEO from 2004.
From 2000 until 2004, he was president of the Fibre Composites division and prior to that as the CFO and director of business planning for Ahlstrom Paper Group.
"We are confident that Jukka Moisio's broad and long international experience from Ahlstrom makes him superbly qualified to take Huhtamaki to the next phase of development and achieve set targets under his leadership," says Mikael Lilius, the chairman of the board of directors at Huhtamaki.
A major manufacturer of consumer and specialty packaging, Huhtamaki chalked up nett sales of €2.3bn in 2007. Huhtamaki serves consumer goods and foodservice markets with some 15,000 people working out of 66 manufacturing units and several sales offices in 36 countries.
