Messe Düsseldorf has announced a new show called Shanghai World of Packaging, consisting of four trade shows that will cover the packaging value added chain and related processing segments.
Set down for November 17-20, 2015, at the Shanghai New Exhibition Centre, the show will encompass China Pharm and news shows PacPro Asia, FoodPex and BulkPex.
Partnerships involved in the trade show include Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai in cooperation with long-time partner Adsale Exhibition Services and the China Centre for Food & Drug International Exchange. The new show has support from the Forum for Packaging Materials, newly established by the associations for Food Processing Machinery and Packaging Machinery, Plastics and Rubber Machinery as well as Printing and Paper Technology of the German Engineering Federation.
PacPro Asia will deal with the production and finishing of packaging products made from materials such as paper, plastic, glass, wood, woven textiles and metal. Other areas of application include package printing, labeling and recycling. It will will cover the segments presented by the Düsseldorf trade shows drupa, interpack, glasstec and K.
FoodPex 2015 will concentrate on packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry. Organisers say that next year, China will supersede the U.S. as the largest food market in the world, presenting opportunities for modern packaging technology and materials, processing and bottling systems as well as testing, safety and disposal systems.
BulkPex 2015 appears as the trade show organisers’ response to the specific requirements of the Asian market in general and the Chinese market in particular. As the third-largest nation in the world in terms of land area and with the highest population worldwide, China has vast transport routes as the second-largest importer of goods in the world. So external and bulk packaging plays a major role and BulkPex will present technological solutions for this particular segment. It will also feature machinery and equipment as well as labelling and goods tracking systems.
